Cricket Gab

I have to say as a new cricket fan I was finally happy to see a well organized game hosted in India. So far the atmosphere and attendance has been abysmal, one could say that is because interantional teams dont have the amount of ex pats neccessary to fill up these arenas, but shame on the icc and Indian organization for not giving out tickets in mass to the cities whose large populations would jump at the cahnce to see any professional cricket match. Today we saw not the most competitive or exciting game but one that displayed why INDIA is the face of Cricket. The unusual and beautiful Arun Jaitley Stadium  was packed with cheering fans all with smiles from ear to ear, cheering so loud that the commentators had to stop at certain points for a break. Afganistain for their part did show up to win, posting a 272 score, 73 runs more then favorites Australia had managed against the home team recently. However India showed no signs of nervousness as Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan combined for over 130 runs before the first wicket and from their Virat Kohli despensed even more damage to an Afghan team that were simply playing a jugernaut way above their level. At the moment its hard to imagine a team that could stop india.
